A Time for Faith and Action

A New Season of Realistic Optimism is Upon Us

I was driving to Washington yesterday. I always consider the nicest part of that trip to be the return to our beautiful valley but it was a lovely spring day so I was soaking it in. Sean Hannity did a financial advice show and as I listened I was prepared for a real depressing discussion. But that's not how it played out. His guests, one was from The Heritage Foundation, painted a picture looking far past the current crisis to see markets doing what they do -- rebounding.

Of course the strength of the financial engine's rebound will depend on our collective will to resist the failed policies that prolonged the Great Depression. You know Rush, they've already failed. We need to make sure some of them are headed off at the pass. A lot of the 'stimulus' spending could be defunded before it happens by a new Congress elected in 2010.

But someone wants you discouraged. They want you out of the game. They think you are dangerous to the America that they envision -- and they're right! Otherwise they'd ignore Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck.

Glenn Beck! He's about to turn Friday the Thirteenth into a day of Optimism and Action. Look for a local Meetup event near you Friday, March 13 from 5:00 to 6:00pm.

Richmonders: Sara of Sarah for America[click for details] is hosting an event in the Midlothian area. Visit her site for details as she's just combined events with another group.

SWAC Folks: Meet at the Sidelines Sports Pub[click for details] located in Waynesboro across from the Wal-Mart.

Finally, don't forget to show up for the Augusta Tax Revolt at the County Government Center in Verona, March 11 at 7:00pm. If we want representative government to represent us we need to show up!
