We're all 'Oakies'...

...At Least to the Current Administration

Only Cass Sunstien could find joy in this story. California farmers are being denied vital irrigation and watching their land become a dust bowl, all to protect a tiny fish! SWAC Girl [click to to read] points out the parallell to Steinbeck's 'Grapes of Wrath.'

I read 'The Grapes of Wrath' when I was much younger. It is a heart-wrenching story and the notion that our government should be active in creating more such suffering is an outrage. But lest you think this is just about some farmers out in California, Cap and Trade looms on the legislative horizon. This legislation has the potential to put many people out of business by cutting off the energy we need. In the current administration's eyes, every one of us is an 'Oakie.'
