Clouds gather on December 17th, the day before the big snow.
It started the next afternoon with a dusting...
...and continued through the night...
...leaving 20" to 30" on the ground the next day!
A winter scene unfolded before our eyes.
Traffic crawled on the roads that were open...
...and some roads took heroic efforts to reopen!
Two weeks later much of the ground was still white...
...waiting for more snow!
