Cracking ACORN...

...So Easy, Even a Squirrel Can Do It

Squirrel

I'm not diminishing the brilliance of the two young fimmakers at all. They did their research and were well prepared to uncover what they did. What is surprising is the way the ACORN staffer fell right into the trap! I mean, seriously, the woman who "shot the guy" was all to eager to advise by anybody's standards. ACORN staffers took the bait multiple times. Boys and girls, can you say: "integrity?"

Its great to know ACORN is now removed from the census and Congress has voted to defund them but here's the tail wagging the dog. ACORN was already pretty well known for its shady dealings a long time ago. Michelle Malkin [click to read] details ACORN's Illegal Alien Home Loan Racket today. Malkin writes: "ACORN chief executive Bertha Lewis blamed the debacles across the country on the "indefensible action of a handful of our employees." But the corruption is systemic. ACORN has long thrown rank-and-file operatives under the bus to cover for its management's indefensible conduct. And ACORN's highly touted advisory watchdogs include inherently conflicted foxes guarding the henhouse." Anyone who's been paying attention knows already that ACORN invokes the same level of trust as an unmarked van cruising slowly through your neighborhood. It took a bold play by two young people to put them in the headlines though.

Citizen journalists James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles did great research. They knew ACORN's hot button issues but then they put it on the lower shelf with the costumes and the naive manner in which they approached the agency for "help." If ACORN had a shard of decency it would have shown them the door. Every organization has some good people in it and in fact they were shown the door in at least one instance, but the fact that they were seriously courted in multiple instances speaks volumes about the agency. ACORN has no business being entrusted with the people's business.

Update: The Google Adbot Weighs In:

As I was posting this, the adbot served up this "related text" advertisment: "Kill Rats the Easy Way." Too funny!
