A Note from Binyamin L. Jolkovsky

"The power of prayer is often spoken of. But those of us
who truly believe in it, act on it"

Spring Crocus.

I have been asked by family members of a rabbinic mentor who still acts as my second father to offer their gratitude to those who continue to pray and do extra acts of kindness on his his behalf.

It's human nature to reasses success if it's not soon in coming. But a down-side in relating the improvements of one who is critically ill is that one may presume wrongly that merits are no longer needed.

So let me put it this way: The status of Yisroel ben (Hebrew for "son of") Chana Tzirel has improved, but he is a long way from healed and still in a critical, if stabalized, condition. He is very much in need of as many prayers and meritorious acts preformed on behalf of him as possible.

Those acts can be as simple as being more patient with somebody who doesn't deserve it or holding a door when you are in a rush. The gestures of making our world better can likewise increase according to your ability.

Every prayer is precious to the Almighty. So are doing extra acts of kindness (no matter how small) in the merit of those who need Divine mercy.

No matter what your faith, PLEASE act on behalf. Please forward this note and post it to social media.

The power of prayer is often spoken of. But those of us who truly believe in it, act on it.

May the One who is the True healer, bless you in kind for your kindness,

I plead the blood of yeshua over yisroel's entire being and decree total healing in his arteries, veins, capillaries, heart, circulatory system and total victory by the immense power of jesus christ atonement and sacrifice. I thank God for answering and honoring my prayer for this man, a son of abraham. GOD BLESS!

Rav Belsky is, surely, one of the Torah giants of our generation, if not the biggest one today in US. We all need people like that by our side. May G-d grant him a speedy recovery for his own benefit, his family and all klal Yisroel

Kind and compassionate friends:

I want to thank the many, many readers who took time from their busy schedules to pray and perform extra acts of kindness for somebody who I consider to be a second father. Further, I would like to express my gratitude to all of those who responded to this morning's newsletter with words of kindness to offset the vile mail that I've received. The truly pathetic will, sadly, always be among us. Our goal is to be the best that we can be.

In Judaism, there is a practice going back thousands of years that has one adding an additional name to those nearing death. There are many reasons for doing this, but now isn't the time or place to discuss them.

From now forth, PLEASE pray and do extra acts of kindness in the merit of CHAIM Yisroel ben (Hebrew for: son of) Chanah Tzirel.

In Brooklyn tonight, there will be a prayer vigil at Congregation Agudath Israel Bais Binyomin -- 2913 Avenue L -- beginning with communal evening prayers at 9:30 p.m. (Eastern) Two prominent rabbis will address those attending, which is expected to be several hundred strong.

Again, on behalf the family and those who consider themselves part of CHAIM Yisroel ben Chanah Tzirel's family, a heartfelt thank you!

We are praying and trying to make this world a far better place in his merit.

(If you receive this sometime near the time of the vigil, PLEASE add your voice to ours, wherever you may be.)

Please forward this note and post it to social media.

I am working on tomorrow's issue and intend to get it out in some form.

May the One who is the True healer, bless you in kind for your kindness,
