Thoughts for 2010, As the Fight Continues

Never Never Never Give Up!

"Perhaps the greatest success as a general in warfare was General George Patton in WW II in his 3rd Army sweep across France to beat Hitler.

One secret of his success was his policy to attack every day … in dry weather, rain, ice or snow. His leadership principal was the following: ATTACK! Vigorously execute “adequate decisions” today not tomorrow." -- Mark Beliles

Every day is a new opportunity. One can become more knowledgeable about the issues and interject that knowledge into conversation with his or her fellow travellers. We need to work hard to become the person those around us, friends and family, look to for clarity in times of uncertainty. The task is enormous -- I would not advise it be undertaken without seeking the help and counsel of the Creator of all things... but with His guidance there is no question what our course should be.

The road less travelled lies before us. The journey is perilous. There are no guarantees save those Divine promises that have sustained humanity for centuries. They are enough.

The sun is rising. Our mission becomes clearer. It is time to set forth!

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. --- Mark Twain
